agi Standards
agi has always taken the view that to be successful we have to be knowledgeable about our products. All of our diamond graders have undertaken extensive training, and are certified with recognised trade bodies. This ensures that our grades our consistent with the “International Rules for Grading Polished Diamonds”.
Once prepared, each grading is checked by at least one of our senior diamond graders. Their knowledge and expertise is called upon to validate the initial grading, and only upon agreement is a certificate issued. Although this can be a time consuming process, the size of our team, their expertise and training ensures that we are able to turn around goods in a matter of two to three days whilst maintaining the high standards we’ve laid down at agi.
The agi Diamond Grading Laboratory pays much attention to training new graders. Only after six months of intensive theoretical and practical training is a new employee actually integrated in the certification process.
Our aim is to provide the consumers with knowledge and confidence when purchasing their diamond and or to provide the peace of mind in knowing that they own a precious diamond with exact grading of the 4C’s. The grading is carried out according to international standards, as set out in the “International Rules for Grading Polished
Diamonds” approved by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association at the May 1978 Congress (rev. ed. 1995).
